Bruno and Pascaline are brother and sister who live on two different continents, Europe and North America.
Bruno lives in Paris area and has been interested in Marilyn Monroe's life since he was nine. He has developed his drawing skills over the years by accurately representing the complex emotions of Marilyn based on some of his favorite portraits of her as a model. His drawing style is now recognizable on websites focusing on Marilyn Monroe. This news series All the drawings of this collection are based upon existing photograph sessions, but expressions are mostly interpretations of his own. Marilyn's appearance in the drawings are matching the period of when she used to visit these specific places.
Pascaline is a fine art painter and digital artist based in Los Angeles where Marilyn Monroe was born, raised and became a Hollywood legend. Pascaline's artwork has not only been exhibited in galleries but museums and in the public realm. For this project, she first takes photos of iconic locations Marilyn visited in Los Angeles. The photos are then manipulated and colorized digitally to create a more graphic and contemporary representation while simultaneously integrating the soulfulness of Bruno's hand sketches (see image below).
